PANGAEA X
2023
A look back at 20223 : Pangaea X second edition
The 2023 Pangaea X journey, starting on June 26th, brought together 33 participants from diverse European (France, Switzerland, Poland, Belgium, Netherlands) focusing on Sustainable Development Goals related to life below water, responsible consumption, clean energy, and life on land. Over six months, these participants, divided into ten teams, developed impactful solutions, culminating in a dynamic pitch session on December 1st 2023 at Station F, where eight out of the ten teams presented their projects to a jury, highlighting a remarkable fusion of innovation and commitment to sustainability.
Themes : Act local, Think Global with SDG 7,12, 14,15
This year, the theme was “Act Local, Think Global” and specifically focused on the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) 7, 12, 14, and 15.
The idea behind “Act Local, Think Global” was to encouraged young people to take action on environmental issues at the local level while also considering the global impact of their actions. By “acting local”, they could take immediate action to address pressing environmental issues in their own communities, while also contributing to global efforts to address these issues.
THE PROGRAM
The 2023 Pangaea X programme’s dual focus on innovation and personal development has notably impacted its participants and teams. One key aspect was ensuring the clarity and elevation of ideas for the 10 teams involved. This involved assessing market viability, exploring feasibility, and advancing their concepts. To accelerate these projects effectively, the “viaparkour” approach, developed by co-design it, was implemented. This method allows teams to activate “cards” based on their needs and progress stage. Ten exceptional coaches then facilitate the use of these cards during dedicated sessions.
The second major objective was personal development, aimed at nurturing these young individuals into meaningful leaders. This growth was fostered through a balance of seriousness and a positive atmosphere. Techniques included collaboration exercises, introspection, self-improvement, and even physical activities. This holistic approach aimed to energize individuals and teams alike, promoting both personal and collective growth.
